Nurul Zulkifli was born in the United Kingdom and was raised in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Her father is an architect while her mother is a seamstress.
After completing her undergraduate studies and masters in Engineering from Queensland, Australia - Nurul returned back to Kuala Lumpur to pursue her lifelong passion in fashion with her two sisters, Amirah and Syahira. In 2008, the trio started their own small blogshop named Mimpikita.
Despite having no formal education in fashion, Nurul is a self-taught fashion entrepreneur who credits her background in growing up in a creative household with strong fashion and artistic influence that helped her appreciate the craft. She is currently the CEO of Mimpikita, and oversees the creative design department.
